今朝アップデートされた情報によりますと、
ハワイアンエレクトリック社の計画停電は昨夜は必要なかったということです。
しかし今後、作業員はさらなる対応が必要かどうか、状況を積極的に評価しています。
ハワイアン・エレクトリック社は、昨日水曜から金曜にかけて計画停電の可能性に備えるよう顧客に警告しました。
当局は、電力不足は地下パイプの破裂が原因で、
カラエロアパートナーズが運営する208メガワットの発電所が 水曜日午前1時に オフラインになったことに起因すると述べています。
修理に最大３日はかかる模様です。
また、水道局からの節水要請が出たことも計画停電の要因となりました。
もし計画停電が始まれば、30分間続き、オアフ島のさまざまな地域を巡回することになります。
ただ、ホノルルのダウンタウン、チャイナタウン、ハワイカイでは最近停電があったため、影響はないと予想されています。

In an update Thursday morning, Hawaiian Electric officials said no rolling outages were needed throughout the night.However, they say crews are actively assessing the situation to see if further action is needed.This comes after Hawaiian Electric alerted customers to prepare for potential rolling blackouts from Wednesday through Friday, prompting the Board of Water Supply to issue a water conservation request.Officials said the generation shortfall stems from a ruptured underground pipe that caused the 208-megawatt power plant operated by Kalaeloa Partners to go offline at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.If outages begin, they’d last for 30 minutes at a time and will rotate through different parts of Oahu. It’s anticipated that downtown Honolulu, Chinatown and Hawaii Kai wouldn’t be impacted because of recent outages there.Kalaeloa Partners anticipates repairs could take up to three days.
