Tanaka of Tokyo Restaurants has proudly served Waikiki since 1978.  We specialize in teppan-yaki performance cooking but due to the Covid-19 pandemic which required restaurants to close their dining rooms, we adjusted our operations to offer teppan-yaki take-out.  Our policies regarding Food Safety, and Cleaning and Sanitation, continue to be our highest priorities. Our staff are required to wear face masks and religiously wash their hands before and after making each order, and we offer curbside pickup for our guests’ safety and convenience.

For the month of April, we offered a complimentary “Birthday” bento hoping to help families and the community celebrate birthdays with their loved ones since people are not allowed visit their favorites restaurants to celebrate.  We also re-designed our menu by offering “Ahi Poke and Blackened Ahi Bowls”, a Hawaii favorite, which is a great option to enjoy for lunch or dinner.  Our Certified Black Angus steaks and salmon bento meals continue to be popular choices as well.  Due to popular interest, we are offering the birthday special in May as well.
